Practical skills for starting and running a business
Most people who want to start a business already have the idea. What they lack is a clear picture of how money, operations, and customers actually interact. Meraqyu programmes address that gap directly — through structured instruction, real-world scenarios, and access to practitioners who have navigated the same terrain.
What we offer
Three ways to build entrepreneurial competence
Foundations of Business
A structured introduction to how businesses are built from scratch. This programme covers the mechanics behind a viable idea — market sizing, pricing logic, basic financial statements, and the decisions that shape a company's first year.
- Revenue models and cost structures
- Customer validation techniques
- Reading a profit and loss statement
- Legal structures and what they mean in practice
Operations and Growth
For those who have already started and need to make their business run more predictably. This programme focuses on the systems that keep a business operational — team structure, supplier relationships, cash flow management, and scaling decisions that don't require outside investment.
- Cash flow forecasting over 12 months
- Hiring the first employees
- Supplier negotiation fundamentals
- When and how to consider expansion
Sales and Client Acquisition
Selling is a learnable process, not a personality trait. This programme breaks down how to identify the right buyers, structure a conversation that moves toward a decision, and build a pipeline that doesn't depend on luck or existing connections.
- Identifying decision-makers in target organisations
- Structuring a sales conversation
- Handling objections without pressure tactics
- Tracking and improving conversion rates
How the programmes are structured
Each Meraqyu programme is built around a specific competence gap — not around a general topic.
Sessions run in focused blocks of 90 minutes, with pre-reading materials distributed beforehand so live time is spent on application rather than explanation. Participants work through exercises based on their own business context, which means the output is directly useful rather than theoretical.
Instructors are practitioners with hands-on experience in the subject matter. They are not generalist trainers. Each brings a specific background — whether that is running a product company, managing a service operation, or building a sales function from scratch.
The programmes suit people who are either preparing to launch a business or who have been running one for fewer than three years and have encountered specific gaps in their knowledge. They are not designed for experienced executives or corporate managers. The content assumes no prior formal business education — only a genuine intention to build something.
Programmes are delivered entirely online, with live sessions scheduled across evenings and weekends to accommodate people who are working while building their business. A typical programme runs across six weeks, with one live session per week and roughly two hours of independent work between sessions. Recordings are available for participants who miss a session.
Each programme produces a concrete output — a financial model, a sales process document, or an operational plan — depending on the subject. The goal is to leave with something usable, not just a certificate. Progress depends on the effort a participant puts in, and the exercises are calibrated to be challenging rather than comfortable.
